AUDRIA KATHERINE MARTIN
Audria Katherine Martin, 92, of Blue Springs, Missouri, passed away on Monday, October 11, 2021, at Ignite St. Mary’s in Blue Springs.
She was born Saturday, February 9, 1929 in Germantown, Missouri to the late Anthony “Doc” Daldrup and the late Viola (Richter) Daldrup.
Audria married Ivan “Ed” Martin on October 22, 1947 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Holden, MO and the couple spent 73 wonderful years together until his death.
Audria and Ed lived in Kansas City, Raytown, Peculiar and Latour before moving back to Holden in 1994 and eventually Blue Springs in 2010.
Audria was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, as well as a member of the Altar and Rosary Societies.
She was also a member of the Medjugorje prayer group in Independence, MO.
Audria was active within her community and enjoyed volunteering.
She and Ed enjoyed going to the lake and traveling together.
Audria was a great cook and was always ready to welcome guests for a meal.
She was a wonderful homemaker and had a gift of hospitality.
Audria loved caring for her family and entertaining friends.
Even at assisted living, she was always befriending and helping the other residents until she was no longer able to do so.
Surviving are one son, Douglas (Beckie) Martin of Blue Springs; two grandchildren, Bryan (Rachael) Martin of Lee’s Summit, MO; James (Michelle) Martin of Blue Springs; five great-grandchildren, Avary, Parker, Sadie, Bennett and Laurel.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ed; daughter, Renee Martin; two brothers, James Daldrup and Gene Daldrup; and two sisters, Rosalie Hilke, and Margaret Thomason.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Holden, with Pastor Lori Hilbrich officiating.
Interment will follow. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Mt. Calvary Cemetery Association.
