LINDA L. HAYES
Linda L. Hayes, 72, of Holden, Missouri, passed away Friday, October 15, 2021 at St. Luke’s East Hospital in Lee’s Summit.
Linda was born February 4, 1949 in Ft. Knox, Kentucky.
She attended Holden High School. Linda married Gary Seaman in Holden in 1968.
She was united in marriage to William Cary Hayes on December 31, 1992.
Linda was employed at Holden Sundries, Holden Faststop, Stahl Specialty Co., Chaney’s Service Station, and more recently, the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg. Linda was an avid reader.
She enjoyed gardening and jigsaw puzzles, and especially time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include two daughters, Julie Burns (Larry) of Frisco, TX and Kim Beck (Greg) of Centerview, MO; three grandchildren, Walker Evans of Centerview, MO; Mallory Burns of Frisco, TX and Jacob Burns, also of Frisco; great-granddaughter, Emry Evans of Centerview; and three sisters, Sue Hancock (David) of Pleasant Hill, MO; Mary Ann Howe (Mike Herron) of Knob Noster, MO; and Sandy Howard (Thurl) of Leeton, MO.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alice and Albert LaHue; her husband, Cary; and two grandchildren in infancy, Veronica and Alex.
Memorial Services will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Williams Funeral Chapel in Holden, with Pastor Mike Wakeman officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Johnson County Cancer Foundation, in care of the funeral home.
