Creation And Evolution Theories Explored
In recent years, Gallup Polls have shown an increase in the number of people who believe in theistic or natural evolution over the belief of intelligent design when it comes to the big question of “how did life begin?”
Yet, other polls indicate that religion’s influence on how people live their lives is on the rise.
The issues of science vs. religion can be a heated debate amongst family, friends, and even regarding what is taught in our public schools.
But, do science and religion have to be in opposition of one another?
Starting November 2, a local church intends to ask questions about the connection between science and faith.
The Kingsville Seventh-day Adventist Church, in association with creator Dr. Stan Hudson, will be presenting a six-part series called ORIGINS.
The presentations will combine video interviews with members of the scientific community and some of today’s leading experts on Creationism.
Pastor Alan Harvey will help guide the discussion and explore the data and theories surrounding both evolution and creation theory.
Dr. Stan Hudson has studied both theology and geology at the university level.
He earned a master of divinity degree from Andrews Theological Seminary and a doctor of ministry degree from Fuller Theological Seminary.
ORIGINS begins November 2 at 7 p.m. in the Holden City Hall (Hallar Building), located at 101 W. 3rd St. in Holden.
It will continue November 3, 8, 10, 15 and 17.
