Kingsville Spooktacular Coming Oct. 30

By Kingsville Rec Club The Kingsville Recreation Club will host their annual Spooktacular event on Saturday October 30, 2021.

The Rec Club has a full day of events starting at 10 a.m. and running throughout the day.

The day will start with the Show and Crow – Car/Truck/Motorcycle/ Rat Rod, and this year’s event will be held in memory of Larry O’Hare.

Vehicle entries should arrive between 9:30 and 11 a.m. And, we are asking for a $10 minimum donation per vehicle and proceeds are earmarked for ballpark maintenance and improvements.

Show Time 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. and we invite the public to come out and cast their vote as awards will be given based on the People’s Choice via ballot vote.

The Agcopra Brothers will also host their Fall Fest Horseshoe Tournament, starting at 10 a.m. and the team entry fee is $20.

Proceeds benefit the maintenance of the horseshoe pits and ballpark.

A variety of vendors will also be onsite from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. for you to check out their crafts and products.

No doubt, Christmas will be here before you know it, so this would be a good time to kick off the shopping season!

A full menu of concessions will be available, starting at 10 a.m.

We plan to add some tasty surprises to our menu and this will also be Dollar Day at the “Lil K” as we offer hot dogs and peanuts for a mere dollar!

Trunk or Treaters are welcome from 6 to 8 p.m.

Trunks should arrive between 4 and 5 p.m. for set-up and should bring a minimum of 500 treats.

We will have a Parade of Costumes at 7 p.m. and will also have games and prizes.

We are seeking volunteers for decorating, parking assistance, game helpers, concessions, and clean-up.

At 8 p.m., we will have a frisbee toss and the winner will receive 50 percent of the sales.

Proceeds from this event will benefit the Martha Stever Bush Scholarship Fund.

We will also be accepting donations of non-perishable food items for the local Food Pantry and school supplies for the Kingsville School.
