KURT WILLIAM GABEL

Kurt William Gabel, 48, of Holden, Missouri, passed away Sunday, February 14, 2021 at Lee’s Summit Medical Center. Kurt was born November 17, 1972 in Lee’s Summit, son of Charles Henry Gabel and Pamela Diane (VanAlst) Gabel.

He attended school in Lee’s Summit. He was united in marriage to Teresa Renee Campbell October 17, 1992 in Kansas City.

The couple made their home in Lee’s Summit prior to moving to Holden in 2003.

Kurt was a member of O.C.A. (Oldsmobile Club of America).

He enjoyed working on antique cars, especially his 1963 Olds. Survivors include his wife, Teresa; three daughters, Kaitlyn Gabel, Sierra Gabel and Makayla Gabel, all of the home; son, Clyde Gabel, II, also of the home; father, Chuck Gabel of Elm, MO; and half-brother, Chris Gabel (Joy) of Lee’s Summit, MO.

Kurt was preceded in death by his mother, Pam; maternal grandmother, Mercedes Swendrowski; and paternal grandparents, Clyde and Emma Gabel.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, February 19, 2021 at Williams Funeral Chapel in Holden, with Pastor Mike Wakeman officiating.

Visitation – The family will receive friends, one hour prior to service, Friday, at the funeral home.

Interment will follow the funeral at New Liberty Cemetery at Magnolia. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Kurt W. Gabel Memorial Fund, in care of the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at www.williamsfuneralchapel.net.
