IDA MAE PINSON
Ida Mae Pinson, 91, of the Pittsville Community, passed away Sunday, January 3, 2021 at Holden Manor Care Center.
Ida Mae was born December 20, 1929 in Lafayette County, near Bates City, the daughter of Martin O. Werner and Amanda S. (Telgemeier) Werner.
She attended school in Bates City. Ida Mae was united in marriage to Allan Colster Pinson on March 31, 1949 in Warrensburg.
The couple made their home on a farm north of Pittsville where they resided for their entire married lives.
Ida Mae was a member of Woods Chapel Church for more than 70 years.
She also enjoyed cooking, sewing, and tending to her flower and vegetable gardens.
Survivors include her daughter, Carol Hutchings (Darrell) of Bates City, MO; son, Darrell Pinson (Laura) of Holden, MO; three grandchildren, Janet Lynn Pinson-Gamblin (Mike) of Holden, MO; Derrick Wayne Pinson (Amanda) of Holden, MO; and Tracey Nichole Newcomer (John) of Oak Grove, MO; four great-grandchildren, Jeffrey Tyler Fouts, Levi Allan Pinson, Ava Grace Pinson and Jackson Everett Newcomer; and also several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Allan, in 2017; one brother; and four sisters. Graveside Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 7 at Blackwater Cemetery near Pittsville.
There will be an open viewing from 2 to 5 p.m. Wednesday at Williams Funeral Chapel in Holden.
Memorial contributions are suggested to either Woods Chapel Odessa or the Blackwater Cemetery Association.
