ALICE “MARIE” BOHANNON
Alice “Marie” Bohannon, 82, of rural Holden, Missouri, passed away Sunday, December 13, 2020 at Cass County Regional Medical Center in Harrisonville.
Marie was born August 5, 1938 near Garden City, Missouri, daughter of Earl and Pearl (Wade) Cowan.
She was raised near Latour, having graduated from Latour High School.
She was united in marriage to Paul Bohannon on May 10, 1957 in Latour.
The couple resided in St. Louis for several years prior to moving to Kansas City.
Marie was an accountant for the U.S. Treasury.
Upon Paul’s retirement from the Police Force, the couple returned to farm life near Holden.
Marie retired in 2000.
She was a member of Rose Hill Baptist Church.
She was an avid fan of Tennessee women’s basketball and football in general.
Survivors include her husband, Paul; son, Joe Bohannon (Rochelle) of Holden, MO; two daughters, Glenda Wolfe of Cameron, MO and Nancy Bohannon of Joplin, MO; 12 grandchildren, Chris, Lisa, Scott, Mary Beth, Ashley, Amber, Drew, Cody, Brandon, Diamond, John and Joseph; numerous great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Ayler; and three brothers, Bill, Charlie and Eugene.
Graveside Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, December 18 at the Holden Cemetery, with Rev. Tom Rowland officiating.
There will be a public visitation from 2 to 5 p.m. Thursday at Williams Funeral Chapel in Holden.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Rose Hill Baptist Church.
