DONALD E. KELSO, SR.
Donald E. Kelso, Sr., 83, of Holden, Missouri, passed away Saturday, December 5, 2020, at his home Don was born August 22, 1937 in Versailles, Missouri, one of 12 children, of James and Martha (Whitted) Kelso.
He was raised in Stover. He married Mary F. Aldrich on November 24, 1957 in Stover.
Don went to work for the KC Booth Company, which constructed restaurant booths, and he remained there for the next 42 years.
He married Rosemary Brown in February of 2002 in Kingsville.
He had resided in the Holden/Centerview area for the majority of his adult life.
Don was a devoted member of RLDS Church. His main hobby was building horse-drawn buggies.
He also enjoyed tinkering.
Survivors include four sons, Jeff Kelso (Cindy) of Holden, MO; Donald Kelso, Jr. (Kumja) of Centerview, MO; Rodney Kelso (Brenda) of Centerview, MO; and Scott Kelso of Warrensburg, MO; two sisters, Leah Burns of Stover, MO and Wilda Bogal of Sedalia, MO; two brothers, George Kelso (Delphia) of Platte City, MO and Carl Kelso (Linda) of North Kansas City, MO; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his second wife, Rosemary; three sisters, Wanda, Ruth and Viola; and four brothers, Dave, John, Jim and Alan.
Graveside Services were held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at Rock Springs Cemetery, north of Holden with Elder Clayton Foss officiating.
Pallbearers were Donnie Kelso, Rodney Kelso, Jeff Kelso, Scott Kelso, Jesse Kelso and James Kelso. Online condolences may be left at www.williamsfuneralchapel.net.
