GRACE ANN GARD

 

Grace Ann Gard, 89, of Kingsville, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at Parkway Assisted Living in Blue Springs.

Grace was born November 5, 1930 in Waverly, Missouri, the daughter of Harry T. Bray and Lillian (Christman) Bray.

The Bray family moved to Kingsville in 1947. She graduated from Kingsville High School. Grace was united in marriage to Jack L. Gard on September 9, 1949 at Lee’s Summit.

She was an engineering secretary with Stahl Specialty for 22 years. Grace was a Kingsville resident for more than 65 years, until moving to the care facility in Blue Springs.

She enjoyed quilting and genealogy. Grace was also an active member of Basin Knob Community Club for many years.

Survivors include her husband, Jack; daughter, Jackie Hall (Steve) of Blue Springs, MO; sister, Nancy Bradford of Archie, MO; three grandchildren, Russel Hough, Jamey Hough and Tami Lambertz (Joe); and four great-grandchildren, Trey Sohl, Elizabeth Sohl, Brody Lambertz and Brae Lambertz.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Gard; and sister, Kay Billings.

A graveside service was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 29, at Elm Spring Cemetery, north of Kingsville.

There was a viewing from 1 to 5 p.m. Friday, August 28, at Williams Funeral Chapel in Holden.
