WALTER ZIMMERSCHIED, JR.

Walter Zimmerschied, Jr., 83 of Kingsville, Missouri passed away Thursday, December 11, 2025, at Holden Manor Care Center.

Walt was born September 2, 1942, the son of Walter Zimmerscheid, Sr. and Mary Louise (Schaden) Zimmerschied.

He resided in Prairie Valley, Kansas and Lee’s Summit, Missouri prior to moving to Kingsville.

He owned and operated Economy Plumbing in Lee’s Summit for several years.

Walt was united in marriage to Dorothy Marie (Gray) Adams on August 24, 2024, in Holden.

He enjoyed fishing and gardening and country music. He also was an avid sports fan, namely the Chiefs and the Royals. Walt enjoyed watching western shows and movies. He loved visiting with friends over a cold beer.

Survivors include his wife: Dorothy; two daughters: Starla Titus Zimmerschied and Lesslie Moeller; three stepdaughters: Roberta DePue (Mike); Michelle Diem and Shawne Widener; stepson: Charles Adams; four sisters: Linda Barnes, Rita Ballenger, Kathleen Randall and Carol Morris; brother: Robert John Zimmerscheid; nine grandchildren, sixteen step grandchildren five great grandchildren and thirty step great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 29, at Williams Funeral Chapel in Holden, with Rev. L. David Mortenson officiating. A luncheon to follow at United Methodist Church in Holden.

Family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, December 28 at Williams.
