Kimberly Anne Garrett
Kimberly Anne Garrett, 53 of Holden, Missouri passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri.
She was born Saturday, August 29, 1970, at St. Luke’s in Kansas City, Missouri to Richard and Arlene (Huther) Garrett Blake. She had four children Josh (Clarissa) Bowlin, Jeremiah Bowlin, Brandon Bowlin and Michael Drake.
She passed after a very sudden, brief battle with an aggressive cancer. Somehow, when she passed, she had the most beautiful smile on her face.
She loved gardening, crocheting, old hymns, antiques, dragonflies, precious family time but most of all Jesus and spreading the Good News to bring others to Him.
Kimberly’s life was a living witness to Matthew 22:37 “Jesus said unto him, thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.” Second, only to her love for the Lord was her love for her family. To say that she will be greatly missed is an understatement yet knowing that she is now in the presence of her beloved Savior brings great peace, comfort, and joy.
Being mindful of the fact that our awesome God doesn’t waste anything, Kimberly Anne chose to donate her body for scientific research. We’ve already been informed that two people will receive sight through her corneas. Our prayer is for there to be a breakthrough in cancer research through her gift.
Kimberly is preceded in death by her father Richard; paternal grandparents Eunice and Harvey Garrett; maternal grandparents Agnes and James Thomas and John Huther
Surviving her passing are her mother Arlene (Huther) Garrett Blake; her children, Josh (Clarissa) Bowlin, Jeremiah Bowlin, Brandon Bowlin and Michael Drake and siblings, Jodi Garrett, Shelby Garrett (Wife Tammy), Lynette Zimmer (husband Bobby)
She also leaves many nieces, nephews, aunts, and cousins that she loved dearly.
There will be a Celebration of Life service to remember, and honor Kim on Tuesday, June 11 at 6:00 p.m. at Living Faith, Lee’s Summit, 1121 SW Hook Road, Lee’s Summit, MO 64082.
