Gladys Louise (Mifflin) Dean

Gladys Louise (Mifflin) Dean 92 of Pittsville Missouri, passed away peacefully at home April 7, 2024.

Gladys was born September 26, 1931, to Estel and Bessie (Smith) Mifflin. She grew up in Cornelia Missouri or as the natives called it, Shanghai.
She attended and graduated from Warrensburg College High in 1949.

Gladys enjoyed fishing, sewing, gardening, collecting rocks from vacations, watching hummingbirds and pulling weeds from her flower beds and anywhere else she could find them.

Gladys’ first trip to Bennett Springs was March 1, 1951 for her and John’s honeymoon, and of course, this was the opening day of trout season.
That would be the first of many family trips to come.

Gladys is proceeded in death by (husband) John, (children) Larry, Linda and Bobby, and her four siblings Bruce, Alene, Harlan (Harley) and June.
Gladys was survived by: grandson, Michael; granddaughters, Sherry and Christy (Chad); great-grandchildren, Kayla (Dylan), Kimberly (Austin), Chase, Alivia, Curtis, Carley, and one great-great-grandchild: Paisley; along with many other family and friends.

Just a special thanks to her nieces Carolyn, Patsy (Ron) and Dorris.

Gladys’ memorial services will be held Saturday, April 20, at 1:00 p.m. at Enon Baptist Church, 541 RT-131 Holden, MO 64040.
