Lola Jean (Hancock) Dawson

Lola Jean (Hancock) Dawson, 88 of Kingsville, Missouri passed away Friday, January 19, 2024 at her sister, Leona Hobbs’s home in Kingsville.
Lola was born August 5, 1935 in Holden, Missouri to Lola Arline (Shimel) and Eugene Robert Hancock.
She graduated from Holden High School in 1953.
She worked at Hallmark Cards, Peterson Manufacturing and as head cook at Kingsville School for 12 years, along with helping her husband build houses etc. On September 30, 1961, she married William Donald Dawson in Kingsville. They were married over 58 years.
Surviving Lola’s passing is sister, Leona Hobbs of Kingsville, MO; brother, Lloyd Hancock of Warrensburg, MO; granddaughter, Samantha Lynn Christian of Kingsville, MO; grandson, Clayton Lee Christian of Kingsville, MO; great grandson, Cohen Lee Christian of Kingsville, MO and many other family and friends. Preceding Lola in death were her husband, Bill in 2020; parents and daughter, Kaelyn Dawson Tuley; brother, Lawrence Hancock and sister, Lois Eagleson.
Memorial Graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 27, at Wesley Chapel Cemetery, north of Kingsville, with Elder Warren Stowell of Community of Christ Church officiating.
The family would like to thank Good Shepherd Hospice for their wonderful care of Lola.
