Local Races Take Shape As Filings Complete

Now that the filing deadline for the 2026 municipal elections has closed, the picture for the candidates running for office shows there will be several contested races for positions on the Holden City Council/Mayor and the Kingsville R-I Board Of Education.

Also determined is that an election for the Holden R-III Board of Education will not be necessary due to the fact there were only three filings for the three open seats.
