Eagles Soar Past Blue Jays To Advance To Baseball State Tourney Final Four

At the bottom of the pile being swarmed by teammates is Holden senior pitcher Kale Tryon who pitched one shutout inning in relief after junior starting pitcher Cohen Drake pitched through six scoreless innings during the win. Holden defeated West Platte by the final score of 9-0, and advances to the championship semifinal round of the state tournament. With a chance to be one of the final four baseball teams playing in the Class 3 MSHSAA Baseball State Tournament, the Holden Eagles delivered on the occasion in shutout fashion by defeating West Platte in the final score of 9-0 at West Platte High School Thursday, May 29.

Eagle junior starting pitcher Cohen Drake started on the hill for Holden in the shutout victory as senior pitcher Kale Tryon worked one shutout inning of relief.
