Weather The Main Story As Holden Enters 2025

The weather continues to be one of the top stories in Holden as the town ushers in 2025.

A major winter storm between Jan. 4-6, which left Holden with anywhere from 8-12 inches of snow, proved to be one of the largest accumulations in decades. Making matters worse, the blizzard-like conditions were accompanied with temperatures dipping into single digits.

While the frigid ice and snow-covered roads, streets and highways caused treacherous driving conditions and numerous school, church and businesses closures, no major power outages of any length were reported.

By the end of the week most streets and local highways were passable, but more inclement weather was on the way.
