The Holden high school track and field teams opened the season by competing in the Class 3-4-5 UCM Indoor Mule Relays on Monday, March 18 with Eagle and Lady Eagle athletes turning in multiple top-six finishes.

“I was very excited for the number of placers and high placers we were able to get at the UCM meet,” said Holden track and field head coach David Diener. “Kia Harmon and Masyn Powell taking gold medals, and Addy Wooster, Cole Zillner, Jazzy Brown and Rett Hankins getting seconds, it just shows how our athletes have progressed this off season to help jump start them strongly into our season. Each year we go to UCM as a chance to compete against some bigger schools and each year we comeback with more medals than the year before. We hope we get a chance to continue that success here throughout the season.”
