City Posts Update On Centralized Trash Haulers Contract

In case you missed it, the City of Holden posted an update earlier this month regarding a centralized trash haulers contract. The goal of the effort is to provide the city with a more stable and affordable service.
It read as follows:

The City of Holden has been working with the Solid Waste West Central Waste Management Region – District F to send out Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and award a contract to a trash hauler.
Here are some upcoming dates to keep in mind:

• The request for proposal will be finalized by August 20th, 2026.

• A “Pre-proposal” meeting will happen on September 11 at 10:30 am for any haulers interested in bidding on the contract.
• 9/17/26: Deadline for Trash Hauler RFP Questions

• 9/18/26: Special Public Works & Infrastructure Committee Meeting

• 9/21/2026: City response to trash hauler questions due

• 10/1/2026: Proposals from interested trash haulers due
