April 7 Election Results End With Close Races, Two Recounts

Results of the April 7 election in Holden, Kingsville and Johnson County ended with some very close races with one at this point still undecided.
So close, in fact, the county’s Verification Board worked overtime Monday to ensure the accuracy of the results.
Last last week Johnson County Clerk, Diane Thompson, issued a statement regarding the details of the count. In part, it reads as follows:
