Passion For The Cure This Coming Sunday, Oct. 12
Passion For The Cure is set to take place this coming Sunday, Oct. 12.
The annual event is designed to provide information about the various types of cancer, share experiences of those who have been touched by the disease and provide hope to those currently battling with it.
The time for the event is set for 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. and will take place at the Hallar Building (103 W. 3rd Street in Holden).
Once there, guests will have the opportunity to purchase shirts and quilt raffle tickets, browse, and bid on silent auction items.
Afterwards they are invited serve themselves from the colorful charcuterie boards with a selection of meats, cheeses and accompaniments.
During this time and throughout the program, Madde Averill will favor the gathering with music selections.
Shortly thereafter, Johnson County Cancer Foundation member, Amy Anderson, will address the gathering with some opening remarks. Those may be followed by other Foundation speakers, subject to conflicting engagements.
