Reports, Updates Take Place At Thursday, Aug. 21 Meeting Of Holden City Council
Reports and updates were the focus of the Holden City Council when the body gathered for its monthly meeting Thursday, Aug. 21.
After the approval of all of the July minutes and the monthly expenditures were passed without discussion, Holden Mayor Ray Briscoe gave several updates to the council.
Mayor Updates
Briscoe began saying the city is participating in Good Neighbor Week (Sept 28 – Oct 4, 2025) and residents can find more information about this at https://missourigoodneighborweek.com/, including a link to nominate your “good neighbor.”
Briscoe noted this will be a good opportunity for the residents of the Holden area to show how great Holden is to the rest of the state.
He also reported the sidewalk project along Main and 9th Street is going forward and moving towards MoDOT approval by the end of September.
He also congratulated Kim Goodfellow for receiving a Certificate of Completion of coursework from the Missouri Governance Institute.
