Miller Achieves Milestone With Completion Of Capstone Project

Medalist – Abby Miller

Abby Miller recently became Holden High School’s first FBLA member to complete a Capstone Project.

This project is a time intensive, community minded, national project, taking months to complete. Out of more than 13,000 Missouri FBLA members, only six members completed a Capstone Project from across the state. Miller received recognition at state and individually qualified for the National Leadership Conference in June 2025.

Missouri FBLA welcomed chapters from across the state on April 13 – 15 at the 2025 FBLA State Leadership Conference. More than 6,000 students, advisers, judges, and guests gathered at the host facility, Missouri State University in Springfield.

Students spent the day learning from workshop presenters, competing in various events and celebrating their achievements. FBLA members competed in over sixty events ranging from Accounting and Agribusiness to Social Media Strategies and UX Design.

The top 10 performers in each event appeared on stage and were awarded medals. The top four received trophies and qualified for nationals.

Among the HHS students placing were:
• Ellie Claxton – 9th in Supply Chain Management.
• Abby Miller 2nd in Who’s Who in FBLA, and in addition, was chosen as the Missouri FBLA merchandise designer prior to the conference.
• Neil Tebbenkamp placed 2nd in Introduction to Programming and qualified for nationals.
