BPW Hears Reports, Process Of Procuring New Water Contractor At Monthly Meeting
Reports on the city’s water and sewer systems and discussion about the procurement process of a water contractor were heard when the Holden Board of Public Works met Wednesday, Nov. 6.
Under old business, Holden Water Superintendent Tony Lerda reported on chemical use and costs in the water system.
He noted although the cost of chemicals at the water plant has sharply risen, the amount required has decreased. He went on to say the taste and odor component is not as prevalent as in past seasons and therefore chemical usage is down.
