Annual Holden Street Fair Has Arrived!

After weeks of preparation hard work and anticipation, the time for the annual Holden Street Fair has finally arrrived.
With a theme of “Blue Jeans & Country Dreams,” this year’s fair, which begins Thursday, promises to be as great as ever with a wide variety of activities, including displays, contests, shows, music, great food selections, a parade and more.
The fair schedule, which runs Sept. 12, 13 & 14 entails the following:
Thursday, Sept. 12
● 2:00 – 8:00 PM: CAC- Flower, Home Ec., Ag. & Art Shows
● 6:00 – 6:10 PM: National Anthem and presentation of colors Holden American Legion and VFW with Ashley Struzick.
● 6:10 – 6:30 PM: Introduction of Grand Marshals Dwight and Kristi Anstine
● 6:30 – 9:00 PM: Little Miss/Mr. Holden; Youth Miss Holden; Jr Miss Holden; Miss Holden contests
Friday, Sept. 13
●10:00AM–8:00PM: CAC- Flower, Home Ec., Ag. & Art Shows
● 4:00 – 6:00 PM: KMZU broadcasting live from fairgrounds
● 6:00 – 6:10 PM: National Anthem and presentation of colors – Grandstand; Holden American Legion and VFW with Jessie Yarborough
● 6:10 – 9:30 PM.: Andy and the Outlaws – Grandstand
Saturday, Sept. 14
● 7:00 AM: Denim Dash 5K – (Register from 6-6:45 AM)
● 8:30AM-6:30 PM: CAC- Flower, Home Ec., Ag. & Art Shows
● 9:00 AM: Car Show Gates Open
● 9:45 AM: Baby Show
● 11:00 AM: Kids Games – Located at Main Street between 2nd & 3rd St.
● 12:30 – 1:30 PM: Dog Show sponsored by Black Diamond Kennels
● 1:00 PM: Fire Dept. Demo. Main & 2nd Street.
● 4:30 – 6:30 PM: Claire Up There will be strolling around the fair grounds
● 5:00 – 6:00 PM: Parade (Arrives downtown around 5:30 PM)
● 5:30 PM: Presentation of colors and Pledge of Allegiance (Parade stops for pledge); Holden American Legion and VFW w/Paxton Hall, son of Amanda and Matt Reinsch, leading the pledge.
● 6:00 – 10:00 PM: Tracy Allison and the Drive
● 9:00 – 9:15 PM: Raffle Drawings – Grandstand
