Budget Items, Salary Schedules, Building Upgrade Bids Addressed At June R-III BOE Meeting
Items concerning the budget, salary schedules and building upgrades were addressed by the Holden R-III Board of Education at its Thursday, June 27 meeting.
Having no old business to act upon, the Board undertook new business items.
The first of those included the approval of the 2023-24 Budget Amendments and Transfers and the approval of the 2024-25 Budget. Those passed with 6-0 vote, with board member Gerilynn Hoover absent from the meeting.
Following were salary schedule updates, which were recommended by R-III Superintendent, Dr. Mike Hough.
Those included:
• Certified Salary Schedule – $500.00 has been added to the base scale and the updates were made to the state grant columns to be in compliance with new state teacher $40,000 baseline salary requirements.
• Support Staff Salary Schedule – A 2.5% increase to the base salary steps.
A motion by Bobby Zimmer, and seconded by Tonyea Inglis to approve Certified and Support Staff Salary Schedule Updates as presented. Motion carried 6-0
Also approved unanimously were:
• Payment of bills in July; and,
• Compass Health Memorandum Of Understanding.
