Business Items, Including Bill, Several Resolutions, Pass BOA

Business items including a hands-free driving bill and several resolutions were passed when the Lone Jack Board of Alderman gathered for its Thursday, Feb. 15 meeting.

The only bill up for consideration was Bill No. 24-1048, Ordinance No. 798, AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 340.230 OF THE CITY CODE RELATING TO HANDS-FREE DRIVING.

Upon a Motion by Alderman Natasha Ortiz for 1st reading and 2nd reading of Bill 24-1048 Ordinance 798. Seconded by Alderman Jared Fox, roll call vote as follows: Alderman Zack Moreno: Aye via Facetime, Alderman Ortiz: Aye, Alderman Krebbs: Absent, Alderman Fox: Aye. Bill was passed and read twice by title only. Vote: 3- Aye, 1-Absent.

Next up was Consideration of Resolution No. 799, A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A PERMANENT EASEMENT FROM THE LONE JACK C-6 SCHOOL DISTRICT (Gibson Rd Extension).
