Time Winding Down For April 2 Election

Time is winding down for the April 2 Election with several important races to be decided.

On of these is the Holden City Council, in which seats in several wards will be contested.

In Ward 1-B incumbent Julie Getz will face Guy Barwick for a two-year term.

In Ward 3-B, incumbent Larry Miller will face Lewis (Jack) Leary, also for a two-year term.

And, in Ward 4-B, incumbent Allen Mensch will go against Rich Pearson for a two-year stint as well.

Also running for City Council will be Morgan Pemberton in Ward 1-A, for a one-year term. Pemberton was appointed to the seat after the resignation of a former member, and is running unopposed.

Also running unopposed is incumbent Carol Mallory in Ward 2-B. That will be for a two-year term.

No one filed for the Ward 2-A seat, though there have been indications an individual may mount a write-in candidacy for the 1one-year term. That seat also was vacated when a former member resigned.
