Reports Given, Resignations Accepted At Council Meeting

Departmental reports and two Council Member resignations took place at the October City Council Meeting.

After the approval of minutes from the Sept. 21 meeting as well as the appropriations/expenditures presented at the body’s Fiance and Budget Committee gathering, the Holden City Council heard opening comments from Mayor Ray Briscoe.

He first spoke about the comprehensive plan, saying planning and zoning continue to make progress. He also noted the mold and water removal at the police department has been completed and the city is now moving forward with renovation planning. Briscoe also stated the city has a point of contact for the rural broadband boring activity going on in the town for any citizen that may need to contact them.
