Two Resign From Holden City Council, Search For Replacements Under Way

Two City Council members submitted their resignations, which were accepted by the Holden City Council at the regular session on October 19. The two were Jessica Page of Ward 2 and Forrest Brillhart of Ward 1.

Holden Mayor Ray Briscoe expressed his appreciation of the contribution of each of these individuals and will encourage them to continue to support the projects of the City as they can in the future.

These resignations leave the two northern wards with just one Council member to represent those citizens north of 6th Street.

As a result, the Council and the Mayor have begun a search for individuals to fill these vacant seats. When a qualified and appropriate candidate is found, the Mayor will nominate, and the will Council approve a person to fill this position.

The term of office for these appointments is until the election to be held in April 2024.
