Mobile Mammography Bus To Be At Holden City Park Saturday, June 17

Has it been over 12 months since your last mammogram? If the answer is “Yes” and you are 40 or older, call 913-344-9989 to schedule an appointment. Online scheduling is not available for this, so please call for an appointment.

The Mobile Mammography Bus will be at Holden City Park, near the Farmers Market, on 10th Street beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 17. This is a convenient way for anyone in the area to get the important annual screening to check for breast cancer in an early stage.

Women age 40 and older do not need an order. Women age 35-39 are eligible for a screening baseline mammogram.

They should check with their insurance provider prior to the screening for plan eligibility and coverage. People with insurance or Medicare need to bring their ID cards for billing purposes. Please call 913-344-9989 to schedule an appointment.

Be sure to mention that you want to have the mammogram on the mobile unit in Holden on June 17. Some walk-in appointments may be available, but reserving a space is the best way to make sure we have enough people for the bus to come to Holden.

Results will be available to you and your primary care provider for follow-up. For more information, contact Julie Brunner at 816-517-1772.

The Mobile Mammogram Program is sponsored by the Masonic Cancer Alliance – Outreach Network of the University of Kansas Cancer Center and Diagnostic Imaging Centers.
