Citizen Input, Committee/Departmental Reports Heard At Council Meeting
Citizen input along with committee and departmental reports were heard when the Holden City Council met Thursday, May 18 at the Hallar Building.
After approval of the minutes and appropriations/expenditures presented by the Finance and Budget Committee, Mayor Ray Briscoe called upon individuals who had requested time for comment.
First up was Sherry Rymer, who expressed her concern about the amount of nuisance homes in the town. She asked for a meeting with city officials to help her understand the ticketing/codes enforcement process.
Following was Jack Leary, a new resident from CA. He commented on the amount of wonderful, helpful, welcoming people he has met since moving to Holden. He expressed concern for the amount of homes not being taken care of. He noted everyone should take pride in their yards and homes…
