Kingsville R-I School District Gives Overwhelming Support in Passing Bond Issue, Elects Three, Three-Year School Board Members
Kingsville R-III voters showed overwhelming support for their district when they passed a $2 million-plus bond issue in the April 4, general election.
The vote, 86-24 (78-18%), enables the district to: go forward with the following priorities:
• A new roof;
• Foundation repair to the NW portion of the building. Along with concrete and masonry repairs around the building and grounds;
• Replacement and repair of entrance doors to improve safety and security of students and staff; and,
• A new building-wide communication system to be used for emergency procedures, notifications, and communication.
Any remaining funds, if needed, would be used for repairs and improvements on existing facilities.
In addition to passing the proposition, district voters re-elected current R-I Board of Education members to new terms.
These were: Todd Brendel, Sarah Evinger and Kelly Stout.
