Holden Foundation Accepts Memorial Fund Donations

The Holden School Foundation has graciously been the recipient of several Memorial Fund donations during these last four years.

The Foundation Board members approved at their October 15th 2020 meeting to add all future Memorial donations to our Scholarship Funds to help recognize those who have passed on, and help our community’s graduating seniors. Also, those whom funds are being Memorialized have their names listed in the Graduation Folder with the Holden Memorial Foundation scholarship description.

Those who have been honored, since the Memorial Donation Scholarships were established in 2020, have included: Edie Phelps, Norma Johnson, Frances Marr, Chris Fletchall, Jim Nipko, Agnes Ann Raber Engelbart, Lorita Mae Raber Coleman, Joe Edward Raber, and William Wham.

The Holden School Foundation was established in 2005 as a not-for-profit corporation for charitable and educational purposes as set forth in section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The Foundation’s original, January 2006 Mission Statement was, “To enrich the educational experience for all learners through community involvement.” The Foundation provides support for the school district for needs above and beyond what the district can provide and promotes excellence in education by awarding Teacher Impact Grants and scholarships to both teachers and students. They do this by generating and guiding philanthropic resources through personal and business donations and fundraising events.
