Gingerich Family Benefit Raises $4,524.48

 

TEAMWORK… Trivia teams battled all night to come out on top during the Gingerich benefit held last Saturday evening at H.O.P.E.’s Community Activity Center. Saturday night’s benefit for the Gingerich family proved to be a huge success as the proceeds will top $4,524.48.

The event, hosted by H.O.P.E Coalition, Inc. at the organization’s Community Activity Center, saw lively and generous crowd enjoy a night of fellowship while playing trivia, tasting chili, participating in a silent auction and a 50-50 raffle – all for a very worthy cause.

As many in the surrounding Holden area know, the Amish family was struck by a vehicle from behind, demolishing their buggy, seriously injuring family members and leaving their horse in a condition that required it to be put down.

While recovering from the accident, numerous medical and related bills were experienced and the Holden community has reached out to help.

The benefit is only one example of kindness extended to the family, and one which hopefully will help restore their lives. “I think the response was far greater than we anticipated,” said a happy Lois…
