Holden R-III Board Has Light October Agenda

It was a light agenda to address when the Holden R-III School Board gathered for its Oct. 10 meeting at the Middle School Library.

After approving the consent items, which included minutes from the Sept. 12 meeting/ payment of bills and the financial statement, the Board moved on to reports.

Grant Guevel first shared the summer school report with board members.

He highlighted there were 396 students enrolled in 162 program hours.

He said on the pre-test and post-test scores of reading and math, improvements in both subjects were shown.

In the gifted instruction report, Jennifer Mann spoke about selection criteria changes in the program last year.

She also reported that 17 elementary and middle school students are currently participating in the program.
