H.O.P.E. Holds Monthly Meeting

Routine business marked the Aug. 17, meeting of the H.O.P.E. Board of Directors monthly meeting.

In the Executive Director’s report, Lois Cheatham told the Board the organization had received approximately $1,300 in donations year-to-date.

In community support she said those receiving Harvester’s items had increased from the prior month.

She also informed board members that the Community Activity Center had to cut back in energy consumption in July, as part of the Evergy Business Demand Response program it participates in.

In essence, the program rewards commercial customers who reduce their electrical load during high-demand days.
