Park And Stormwater Tax Measure Passes
Holden’s Park and Stormwater Tax measure passed in last week’s election by a count of 218-189.
Listed on the ballot as Holden Question 1, the measure read as follows: Shall the municipality of Holden, Missouri, impose a sales tax of one-half (1/2) percent for the purpose of providing funding for local parks and storm water control for the municipality?
While Holden Mayor Ray Briscoe was clearly pleased by the passage, he assured all of those who voted that the Holden City Council would “responsibly manage those funds for all the citizens.”
