10th Annual Bryan Simms Tractor Cruise & Show Set For August 6, 2022

The 10th annual Tractor Cruise sponsored by the Kingsville Recreation Club – Kingsville Area Residents Exceptional Services (KARES) program, is scheduled for Saturday Aug. 6, 2022.
There will be a tractor show at the Kingsville City Park following the 20-mile cruise. The event is held in memory of Bryan Simms and the proceeds benefit the Memorial Academic Scholarship Fund which is awarded annually to a Kingsville High School Senior.
This year’s “Tour of Tractors” is open to all tractor makes, models, and years for those wishing to participate in the cruise and/or the show and all donations are welcome.
Participants have the option of cruising and/or showing their tractors. The cruise portion of our event will consist of a 20-mile drive through and around the Holden and Kingsville city limits and countrysides. At the end of the cruise, they will gather for the tractor show from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 p.m. at the Kingsville City Park, located on Hwy. 58. The public is welcome to come look at the tractors, visit with the owners, and vote for their favorite.
Cruisers will report to the Kingsville Anstine Livestock Auction Barn Saturday, Aug. 6 for check-in between 8:00 and 8:30 am. Those participants choosing to “SHOW” their tractor, but not cruise, should report to the Kingsville City Park between 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 am for check-in and registration. The Cruise and/or show open is to all tractor makes, models, and years. A minimum donation of $30.00 per tractor/driver includes a t-shirt and one lunch. All registered participants will be entered in a raffle.
The tractor cruisers will depart from the Kingsville Livestock Auction at approximately 9:00 a.m. and cruise east on 58 Hwy. through Holden to the Holden City Park. The estimated arrival time at Holden City Park is approximately 9:30 a.m. At 9:45 am, the tractors will depart Holden City Park, heading east on 58 Hwy. and turning south on Clay St. The cruisers will proceed south on Clay St and turn west onto SW 1251 Rd. (Eagle Drive), then south on Main St., and then west on 19th St to Lexington (Hwy. 131 South). They will head south on Lexington and turn west on SW 500 Road to Hwy. T, where we will take a slight jog onto TT Hwy. The cruisers will make their next stop on TT Hwy. at Simms Farm with an estimated arrival time of 10:30 a.m. At 10:45 a.m, the cruisers will depart Simms Farm, turning west on TT Hwy., north on SW 2001 Road (gravel), east on SW 150 Road, and then north on SW 1971 to 58 Hwy., where they will head back to Kingsville City Park. The estimated arrival time at the Kingsville City Park is 11:30 a.m.
The show will be held from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 p.m. at the Kingsville City Park on Hwy. 58. Lunch will be provided for registered cruisers/show participants. If there are extras, lunch can be made available to spectators when a donation is made to the scholarship.
The public will be invited to vote for “Best Restored,” “Best Fence Row Find,” (not restored) and, Best in Show (overall). Winners will be announced and trophies awarded at 2:00 pm.

Kingsville Recreation Club is asking for a minimum donation of $100.00 per sponsor by July 29 for their advertisement to appear on the back of the commemorative t-shirts.
All sponsors receive a complimentary t-shirt for their generosity. Anyone wanting to order a t-shirt, can do so. The cost is $20 and the proceeds benefit the scholarship. All should feel free to pre-order, and it will be ready the day of the event.
