Lone Jack Library Closed Through Jan. 2 Due to COVID Exposure
Mid-Continent Public Library’s Lone Jack Branch (211 N. Bynum Road, Lone Jack, MO) will be closed until January 2 due to potential COVID-19 exposure.
The book drop will remain open. The branch was immediately closed when a staff member was confirmed positive for the virus on December 17.
Holds on materials that were available at the branch before the closure will be extended.
All library staff who were potentially exposed will be screened and closely monitored before returning to work.
Professional deep cleaning services will take place during the closure.
The library is working closely with the Jackson County Health Department to determine all necessary and additional next steps.
The health and safety of staff and customers are MCPL’s highest priorities.
