Turkey Trot for Talley This Saturday
Friends and neighbors of John and Kristy Talley have organized a Turkey Trot for Talley 5K Run/Walk, and 1-Mile Fun Run Benefit which will be held this Saturday, November 21.
This event is a benefit race in support of the Talleys.
John was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in July and is currently undergoing treatment.
Not only was this an absolute shock to them but it’s brought an excessive amount of medical expenses.
Organizers are putting on the event to help give back to a wonderful couple who have given so much to our community.
Funds raised during the Turkey Trot will help offset medical expenses. Men, women and children of all ages are invited to join others in the community who wish to support the Talley family. “Join us for a morning of hope, support, awareness and fun!” said Lynette Zimmer, one of the organizers.
“And don’t miss out on the 5K Finisher Awards!” Walk-up registration will begin at 7:15 a.m. on November 21; race start time is 8 a.m. in front of Holden City Hall, located at 101 W. 3rd St. in Holden. Registration fees are – 5K Run/Walk – $35; and the 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk – $25.
Event sponsors are Lynette Zimmer, Lois Cheatham and Jennifer Gavoli.
If you have any questions, please contact them. Don’t miss this awesome opportunity to support John and Kristy during this difficult time in their lives.
Join your neighbors for this fun, worthwhile fundraiser!
