New Hope to Provide Thanksgiving Boxes

Again this year, New Hope Baptist Church will be providing Thanksgiving boxes for families in need during the Thanksgiving holiday.

Each box will contain everything a family will need for their Thanksgiving dinner.

“Only one box per household will be given,” said Tara Martley, New Hope member.

“That means if you have someone living with you but they are not related, they do not get a separate box.

“You have to pick up the box yourself, unless you have made arrangements with us, to say that someone else will be picking it up.”

All boxes must be picked up at the New Hope Baptist Church (E. 58 Highway) on Monday, November, 23, between 5 and 7 p.m.

Any boxes that are not picked up on that date will be given to another family.

All boxes must be ordered no later than November 21.

“New Hope is very happy to be able to bless those families in need again,” added Tara.

“If you would like to help by donating items, please let us know.”

Tara shared a list of what is in each box.

Boxes include a turkey, sack of potatoes, gravy (mix or cans), cranberry sauce, stuffing, canned pumpkin, evaporated milk, pie shells, Cool Whip, green beans, rolls, and fruit (apples and oranges).

To order a box or to make a donation, please call 816-590-0636.

Please leave a message if not answered, and someone will get back to you shortly. “God bless you!”
