Mayor’s Christmas Tree Lighting Set for Dec. 4

The City of Lone Jack is excited to announce the annual Mayor’s Christmas Tree Lighting celebration will go on as usual, in spite of the COVID pandemic.

Due to the virus, some activities will look a little different this year, but it does little to dampen the holiday spirit of the Lone Jack community!

The Mayor’s Christmas Tree Lighting will be held on Friday, December 4 at 6 p.m. at Lone Jack City Hall.

Santa Claus will make his annual trip to Lone Jack, however, this year he will be mingling with the children instead of the normal close contact activity of sitting on his lap.

Santa will still listen to children’s wish lists and do his best to make their Christmas wishes come true!

Other activities may be added for this special holiday kick-off.

All who attend are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items, canned goods, or monetary donations to benefit the Helping Hands Food Pantry.

The community is invited to join friends and neighbors for this festive holiday tradition. All are welcome!
