Murder Occurs in Holden

On September 26, Johnson County Sheriff’s deputies answered a call to a residence in the 1100 block of SW U Highway in Holden on a report of a woman being shot.

When deputies arrived on scene, they discovered a deceased female. Cause of death was determined to be a gunshot wound.
Sabrina Page (Farris), age 29, Holden, was the victim officers discovered.

Officers investigated the scene and subsequently arrested Daniel Page, 30, Holden, for the murder of Sabrina Page.

The Johnson County Prosecutor’s office filed charges against Daniel Page on September 27 on nine offenses.

The following charges were filed against Page – Count I, Murder, 2nd Degree, Class A Felony; Count II, Armed Criminal Action, Class U Felony; Count III, Voluntary Manslaughter, Class B Felony; Count IV, Armed Criminal Action, Class U Felony; Count V, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Class E Felony; Count VI, Murder, 2nd Degree, Class A Felony; Count VII, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Class A Felony; Count VIII, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, 1st Degree, Class B Felony; Count IX, Armed Criminal Action, Class U Felony.

Page remains in jail, as he is being held without bond.
