KHS Commencement Set For This Friday, July 24
The wait is over! For Kingsville seniors in the Class of 2020, their long-awaited high school graduation is here!
Commencement Exercises will be held tomorrow evening, Friday, July 24 at 7 p.m. in the Sears Gymnasium.
Baccalaureate was held July 22.
The annual senior breakfast will be held Friday morning at 9 a.m., with graduation practice following at 10:30 a.m.
Like so many other graduates in 2020, the Kingsville class saw their senior year sidelined due to the historic coronavirus pandemic.
The classmates missed out on the end of their high school careers when the government mandate came for an abrupt school shutdown back in April.
However, the seniors are doing their best to salvage this special year, and even the school closure won’t deter them from enjoying this long-awaited goal that’s been 13 years in the making!
This year’s graduation will look very different as protective face masks are mandatory and social distancing is now the norm for public gatherings.
But, that won’t stop the celebration for the Kingsville seniors!
They will gather Friday night with family, friends and classmates, and rejoice in their accomplishments of the last 13 years.
And, in a way that only youth can do, they will step boldly forward into an uncertain future that they are sure will be filled with new adventures and exciting experiences!
Join them Friday evening for their graduation ceremony and to wish them well and celebrate their achievements and the end of their high school journey.
Please remember to wear a face mask and keep social distancing in mind as you gather.
