Grant Guevel Hired as HHS Assistant Principal

On Monday, June 8, the Holden R-III School District Board of Education approved the employment of Grant Guevel as assistant principal for Holden High School.

Guevel will begin his duties on July 1, 2020. He has served as an educator, curriculum director, and a reserve administrator during his educational career.

Before moving into administration, Guevel served as a social studies teacher in the Oak Grove School District, where he also coached football, basketball and baseball during the past five years.

“I am very happy to step into the role of assistant principal at Holden High School,” Guevel said. “I look forward to working with our incredible students, staff and community.”

Grant obtained his Bachelor of Arts in history from the University of Central Missouri. He holds a Master of Arts in Secondary Administration from UCM, and will complete his Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership this fall, also through UCM.

Guevel currently resides in Grain Valley with his wife and two children.

“My family and I are excited for this opportunity with the district, and to be a part of the Holden family.”

Guevel replaces Dr. Joseph Parkhurst, who will assume the position of principal at Holden High School on July 1.
