Masons Help With Student Lunches

Holden Masonic Lodge #262, in partnership with the Masonic Home of Missouri, donated a check for $500 to the Holden R-III School District last week.
The donation is to be used to purchase student lunches. It all worked out well with social distancing guidelines, according to Lodge members.
Holden Lodge member Gary Miller reached out  to district cashier Sandra Able to get the ball rolling. Lodge Treasurer Bobby Zimmer wrote a check for the donation to be given to the school for the lunch fund.
The donation was then sent to the Masonic Home, where the Lodge donation amount was doubled. The Masonic Home check was then mailed back to Miller.
He contacted Holden District accountant Ann Miller and was given instructions on how to deliver the donation.
The check was delivered to the mailbox outside the District Office with a friendly wave through the window. There was no in-person contact, but sadly, no photo of the occasion either.
The important thing is the donation will benefit the students needing assistance with their lunch purchases.
