Mayor Allen Mensch then gave his Mayoral Comments, stating that, contrary to some Facebook posts, he is available for discussions with Holden residents, and his door is always open for any resident who lives inside the city limits to discuss any concerns.
He also thanked several people, namely, Tony Lerda for his 40 years of service to the City of Holden, and the city administrator and the department heads for their hard work of coming up with a lean budget.
He also thanked Councilman Morgan Pemberton for his service as this would be his last council meeting because of his resignation so he could pursue fire training.
Insurance Presentation
Christian Delozier of Mike Keith Insurance followed by presenting the council with the insurance renewal and reviewed the most significant changes. He indicated that because the city council made changes last year, the city was able to recover $130,000 more from the recent claim they submitted to the insurance companies.
Reports
