Reports, Passage Of Resolutions, Ordinances, Highlight Holden City Council Meeting

Departmental reports, and the passage of several resolutions and ordinances took up bulk of the Holden City Council’s Agenda when it met Thursday, May 15.

Updates/Acknowledgments
Holden Mayor opened the meeting of the Holden City Council with several updates on activities including a storm shelter, and police department building maintenance and improvements.
He also publicly expressed his appreciation during Law Enforcement Month for all the efforts of Police Chief David Mayhew and the other officers in the city’s police department, who so effectively serve the community each and every day.

Department Reports
The department heads then gave their monthly reports to the council.
All the department heads’ reports were provided to the members of the city council in their packets.
Police Department
Of note, Chief Mayhew said there was an uptick in the number of motor vehicle accidents within the City of Holden.
