K.I.T.S Passes, Abel & Haun Secure R-III Board Seats Lindsey, Barnett Win R-I Board Positions

 

There’s an old saying, “The third times’ the charm” and that certainly was the case on election day when the Holden R-III K.I.T.S. proposition passed by an overwhelming margin.

K.I.T.S., an acronym for “Keep It The Same,” was a proposition which would be used for the purposes of attracting and retaining quality certified and support staff and meeting additional operating expenses.

While it would increase the operating tax levy of the school district, that would be offset by a reduction of its debt service levy. The resulting effect was the total tax levy of the district would remain unchanged.
