BPW, City Appear To Edge Closer To A Procurement Agreement

Although differences remain as to the procurement process of attaining a new company to succeed O&M to manage the water district, the Board of Public Works and the City Council appear to be edging closer to an agreement.

That was the upshot of the Tuesday, Dec. 3 meeting of the Holden Board of Public Works.

Procurement Process
The new business portion essentially began with both the BPW and the Holden City Council holding their previous positions regarding the process by which a new water company should be selected.

Responding to a letter from the council stating it would require, among other items, a scope of services and a public request for bids, Holden Water Superintendent Tony Lerda reiterated “…this is not how this business works.”
